Movement and Mindfulness Techniques for Capacity Building
I am a certified Resilience Tool Kit facilitator, as well as a certified practitioner and facilitator of Tension and Trauma Releasing exercises.
Both modalities are designed to help people access states of deep internal peace in their bodies. In particular, therapeutic tremoring can help individuals go from high levels of distress to deep levels of peace and calm. All of the exercises I teach are designed for stabilization and self-regulation.
This type of somatic work is an essential ingredient of what I do because we must be safely embodied in order to process trauma and stress. If we aren’t strongly grounded in ourselves, working with our trauma can further destabilize us.
During our sessions, you will learn these exercises so they can be practiced between and during our meetings. In a very short time you will learn to tap into internal resources that are already in the body to help you relieve stress.
